Yesterday, Marriott Rewards + Starwood Preferred Guest + Ritz Carlton Rewards transitioned to Marriott Bonvoy. Today, there is some great news coming out of the programme for new members. Marriott Bonvoy will continue the very good Marriott Free Night Sign Up promotion from back in the day, where a newly signed up Marriott Bonvoy member will be able to get a free night after two stays within four months.
This promotion will run from February 15, 2019, through June 28, 2019. To start with, new members must register using a special link. You need to complete two paid stays in this period to earn a free night certificate, which will get you a free night worth 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. This certificate can be redeemed for a night stay in standard rooms across Marriott category 1 -4 hotels worldwide.
An electronic certificate will automatically be deposited into your Marriott Rewards account after completing two paid stays. This will be valid for a year from the date of issuance. If you’ve got stays coming up and want to earn that free night then it totally makes sense to get your family members to sign up.
Here are some great redemptions for the certificate in India and nearby:
- The Westin Mumbai Garden City
- JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar
- JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru
- JW Marriott Hotel Dubai
Apart from these, there are many Marriott Category 1-4 hotels worldwide where you can use the free night certificate. Remember, this promotion is valid only for new members of the Marriott Bonvoy™ programme and hence, existing Marriott Bonvoy members are not eligible.
Bottomline
It is a good opportunity to sign-up for this promotion as the vacation period is approaching. So, hurry up and ask your family members to register and get ready to enjoy the benefits.
Are you planning to register for Marriott Bonvoy this summer and get a free night in the process?
T&C reads – “A stay is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/checkout activity.“

Does single night qualify as a stay ?
@Viral, a one night stay is counted as a stay. But if you did two one night stays at the same hotel in a row, like let’s say 24/02 check-in and 25/02 check-out, and again 25-02 check-in and 26-02 check out, they still count as one stay.
So, can “a 3 or 4 days stay” be counted as “2 stays” for the offer by booking on different names on alternate days. This way both members will earn “2 stays”.
Is this approach correct ?
@Viral, absolutely correct. Just remember to check in check out every day
This is clickbait – you need to put in your title “For New Members Only”
