One of the best parts of the erstwhile Starwood Preferred Guest programme, which Marriott developed further is the Moments programme, where you can use your Marriott Bonvoy points to buy or bid money can’t buy experiences, all in exchange for your points. I’ve never managed to win one of the bids because the experiences I chase are hot in demand and I run out of points to bid at some point of time.
Anyhow, I know a lot of our readers are also cricket fans, so I thought of making this post. Marriott Bonvoy has recently tied up with Mumbai Indians for three seasons of the Indian Premier League. As a part of their plan is a lot of Moments partnerships, including hospitality seats at Wankhede Stadium, kids coaching clinic, Gala dinner for the Mumbai Indians and so on.
Marriott Bonvoy is offering hospitality tickets to the early home games of Mumbai Indians which will be played in the Wankhede stadium. These include the opening game of Mumbai Indians v/s Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians v/s Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The good part is that these are not bidding tickets, but packages which are available for a simple redemption of 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
Mumbai v/s Chennai on March 29, 2020
Mumbai v/s Bengaluru on April 5, 2020
Each of the packages includes hospitality tickets for two people at Wankhede Stadium. The game starts at St. Regis Mumbai where the ticket holders will be hosted before being taken to the game. At the hospitality lounge, complimentary food and beverages will be provided in the Marriott Bonvoy Lounge. Having watched IPL games from Mumbai’s Hospitality Area before, I can tell you it is an experience to cherish.
These are some great opportunities in the Marriott Moments collection, and if you are sitting on a boatload of Marriott Bonvoy points, you should check them out.
What is your pick for the Marriott Bonvoy Moments 2020?
They should have had similar arrangements for MI’s away games also, so that people from other cities could also have the experience.
IPL is called off
@Parag while it is under discussion to postpone it, nothing done about this yet.
