American Express is just about getting ready for the travel season at the moment. In this, they usually partner with the major hotel chains and the airlines. Earlier this year, they had an offer for Hyatt statement credit. Last year, they had a promotion with Hilton Hotels, which they repeated this year. They also announced an offer for Goa stays with The Postcard Hotels and Resorts. Now, it’s time for an American Express to partner with Malaysia Airlines.
The new Malaysia Airlines promotion offers you a cashback of INR 5,000 when you spend at least INR 35,000 over a single or multiple transactions on the airline, via the website or in-person ticketing counter of the airline (city counters) for a departure out of India. You just need to book your tickets by October 31, 2019.
The offer requires registration and only the first 10,000 registrations qualify. You can register here. You need to book a ticket which departs from Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai or Kochi, and the ticket needs to be paid for between August 27, 2019 and October 31, 2019.
The offer is not valid for Malaysia Airlines Charter Services, Malaysia Airlines Corporate Travel flights, flights paid for via Malaysia Airlines airport locations, and flights paid for via third parties such as travel agents, online aggregators or payment processors. The spend amount of INR 35,000 is inclusive of any applicable taxes.The INR 5,000 cashback will be rewarded one time only per card, within 5 business days of the qualifying transaction.

- American Express Gold Charge Card
- American Express Platinum Charge Card
- American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card
- American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card
