LOT Polish Airlines to connect Warsaw and Delhi in September 2019

LOT Polish Airlines yesterday announced their plans to launch a 5 times a week Warsaw-New Delhi services, which will be launched in September 2019, using a Boeing 787 in a three-class configuration, its first route to India, and the sixth connection they make in Asia.

The first flight from Warsaw to Delhi is scheduled for September 17, 2019. The flight to Delhi will be on the Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft, five times a week. Here is a look at the schedule.

LO71 WAW2240-DEL0915 787 23567
LO72 DEL1105-WAW1535 787 13467

What I really like about this schedule is the fact that you could spend a whole day in Warsaw and then arrive at the airport for a late night flight to Delhi. On the other side from India, you head into Warsaw and arrive right after hotel check-in opens, so no hanging around for early check-in and stuff.

The project has been on the anvil since 2017 when LOT Polish received their first two 787-8 aircraft, and finally two years later, they will be able to make this flight happen.
I checked out the business class product, and it is the same seats that Air India uses, the default option for the Boeing 787s, but nevertheless, it is a very good product for those who don’t want to be fussed by the variety of sizes of cubby holes in the market.

The Premium Economy product also looks pretty good for a flight of this length.

Flight bookings are already open since yesterday and given LOT is a Star Alliance member carrier, you should be able to credit your miles to one of the other Star Alliance airlines as well if you so wish. Economy class roundtrip tickets were available for just about INR 42,000 on the route.
So who is planning a trip to Poland now, just because LOT has a flight for you to get there?
