HDFC Bank has launched a new promotion for their JetPrivilege co-branded credit cards for international spends done during the summers. Between May 1 and June 30, 2018, when you swipe your JetPrivilege co-branded credit cards, you get 5X JPMiles on your spends.
The 5X bonus JPMiles are valid only on offline spends, which means you have to be physically present to swipe the card if you would want to receive the miles. The bonus JPMiles will be credited to eligible customers within 90 days from the promotion end date. The maximum JPMiles per card account are as follows:
- JetPrivilege HDFC Bank Titanium Credit Card: 1000 JPMiles
- JetPrivilege HDFC Bank Select Credit Card: 1000 JPMiles
- JetPrivilege HDFC Bank Visa Platinum Credit Card: 1000 JPMiles
- JetPrivilege HDFC Bank MasterCard World Credit Card: 2500 JPMiles
- JetPrivilege HDFC Bank Visa Signature Credit Card: 2500 JPMiles
- JetPrivilege HDFC Bank Diners Black Credit Card: 2500 JPMiles
This offer is not valid for cash withdrawal and loan products like EasyEMI spends, Dial-An-EMI, Cash-on-Call, Balance Transfer, Balance Transfer on EMI, Jumbo Cash, etc.
What this means is, for instance, if you’d usually be spending on JetPrivilege HDFC Bank Diners Black card to earn 8 JPMiles/INR 150 spent, you would now be getting 40 JPMiles/INR 150 spent abroad, which is not a bad amount of JPMiles for your spend you’d anyhow be making. Just keep in mind, this is for swipes and not online purchases.
Bottomline
Clubbed with the Jet Airways IndusInd Bank credit cards, the JetPrivilege HDFC Bank Credit Cards are offering an excellent opportunity to earn JPMiles during the summers. However, that is not the only opportunity you have; we are offering you 4000 bonus JPMiles for hotel bookings during the summers as well.
Are you planning to use your JetPrivilege HDFC Bank co-branded credit cards this summer for international spends?
Perhaps it is too late to comment on this offer. But may be not! I was abroad in May-June, and used my JetPrivilege World Card there. But I am still fighting for the bonus 4 X miles which should have been posted within 90 days (by October 1). They have posted some bonus miles in November after my complaint, without explaining how they calculated the miles. But it is still short of the 4X promised. I had to start by sending them the mail containing the offer, they asked for it again, and kept promising to look into it. After escalation, which did not resolve the issue, it is now with the Grievance Redresal people, who have promised to reply in 12 working days. Why should I have to remind them of their offer, and then show that I actually received the offer. I am not convinced that the offer was at all sincere. I have lost patience, and will not write to them any more.
