JetPrivilege conversion bonus of 30% for converting credit card points and those from other partners to JPMiles has returned in 2018. This is a regular promotion from JetPrivilege, which has been made many times in the past. Here is 2015, 2016 and 2017 announcement on the promotion and not much has changed this time around as well.
The bonus kicks in when you transfer to at least 5,000 JPMiles. Between 5,000 to 19,999 JPMiles converted get a 20% bonus, while 20,000 JPMiles and upwards converted get a 30% bonus. Additionally, if you have never converted your points into JPMiles before, you get another 5000 JPMiles as a bonus.
You do need to register for this promotion, and after registration, you can initiate a transfer from the following programs:
- American Express (India and the Middle East)
- Axis Bank
- Emirates Islamic Bank
- Doha Bank
- HDFC Bank

In this case, the bonus is applied on a per-transaction basis and not on a cumulative basis. For instance, if you transfer 5000 JPMiles, then you get a 1000 JPMiles extra. When you move 2000 & 3000 Miles from 2 different programs, you won’t get the bonus. Also, this promotion is not applicable for co-branded credit cards.
Only those who have made a conversion transaction for the first time will benefit with another 500 bonus JPMiles.
Bottomline
If you transfer to receive more than 19999 JPMiles, then you get 30% bonus on the miles converted, which is one of the highest bonuses to expect on JPMiles conversion from other point currencies. If you are looking to convert some credit card points to JPmiles, this is a great opportunity to do so!
Do remember to register for the promotion, whether you choose to convert to JPMiles or not.
