Yesterday, early morning, I heard that Jet Airways fares were at least 15% lower than the usual, and I wanted to kick myself in the backside for booking some tickets a few days earlier for the exact date on which the travel was to start. I couldn’t cancel those tickets and rebook without a penalty, and that wasn’t a pretty sight.
Anyhow, rant over, turns out later in the day, Jet Airways was loading those fares for a sale they have been holding since yesterday (3 August, 2013) to 9 August, 2013. For this duration, Jet Airways is offering 7,00,000 seats on sale, with at least a 7 day advance purchase, as per the following slabs:
Note that this is the price for base fare + fuel surcharge, and the real ticket price will include airport fees and service charge etc, so a little more expensive, lets say about Rs. 500-800. But these are non-refundable fare. The fares are a full 15% lesser than others on the same routes. Lets show you an example from Yatra.com captured last morning:
If you’re a Jet Airways co-branded credit card holder, you could reduce these fares by another 5% by adding your cobranded card’s promotional codes (JTHDFC, JTICICI or JTAMEX). Tickets on these fares do earn JP Miles as well.
Also, you could book these tickets via travel agents as well. If you have a Citibank PremierMiles credit card, this is a good opportunity to stack up with earning 15 miles per Rs. 100 spend on them as well.

AJ, I tried different dates and routes, but couldn’t see any special fares. Are they sold out of their deal inventory, maybe?
@Ansh they have special fares last I checked and do make it a point to look up their own website for it if you can’t see on a third party website.
Seems like a check mate from Jetairways for the 7th year anniversary celebrations on Indigo. If that was the case 9W should have done better for their 20th Anniversary celebrations rather than try to spoil someone else’s.
I am pretty sure that the Sale is only on certain routes. No matter what date I try- unable to find significant difference in rates of Jet Airways and others..
More importantly- the total of Base Fare and Fuel Surcharge does not add up.
One route which I have tried is BLR-AMD!
@Priyansh have you searched the jetairways website. I see a lot of these fares there.
