Jet Airways’ CEO-designate Sanjiv Kapoor has moved on from the airline operation. The aviation veteran joined Jet Airways 2.0 startup operation as its chief executive officer designate in April 2022.
Jalan Kalrock Consortium sees many top-level exits
The Jalan Kalrock Consortium (JKC), the consortium that intends to take Jet Airways to the skies again, has seen a spate of exits since December 2022, when it was first obvious that there will be a delay in the relaunch of the airline. Recently, the accountable manager for Jet Airways 2.0, Captain P P Singh moved on and today, news comes in that CEO designate Kapoor is also moving on. JKC, in a statement issued also confirmed that he is leaving the company on May 1, 2023.
Sanjeev Kapoor’s resignation comes amid unresolved issues between Jet Airways’ lenders and the Jalan-Kalrock consortium, which is trying to restart operations. The airline was nearing launch in 2022, when new circumstances about Jet Airways 1.0 employee claims moved the goalpost.
In the meantime, people in the bureaucracy are holding out cryptic signals that signify end of the road for the carrier.

Bottomline
Jet Airways 2.0 CEO designate Sanjiv Kapoor today completed his notice period, and is amongst a long list of people who have waited for a restart, and then moved on from the airline. The airline operation (2.0), in the meantime, has thinned out from almost ready for take-off too far from take-off at this moment.
Do you think there is a good chance that Jet Airways takes to the skies in 2023?
