As IndiGo turned 19 earlier this week, the airline made several announcements. The first announcement was about the airline’s plans to fly to London Heathrow later this year, and the second was about its upgrade of the Dubai and Singapore routes to the Stretch-equipped aircraft.
IndiGo Stretch Touches Down in Singapore
From August 9, 2025, passengers on daily A321neo flights connecting Singapore with Delhi and Mumbai will experience the fresh interiors of IndiGo Stretch—its 12‑seat premium cabin that it launched on domestic flights in November 2024. With features like 2‑2 layout Recaro R5 seats, adjustable headrests, charged device-friendly outlets, and cold meals curated by Oberoi Catering, it’s a tasteful middle ground for travellers seeking comfort without the weighty fare.

Although luggage allowances, including beverages, and anytime boarding are appealing, indulgences like lounge access, hot meals, Wi-Fi, and in-flight entertainment remain the preserve of full-service carriers. Still, at SGD 700 / INR 50,000 return fares—above economy but below premium economy tiers—IndiGo Stretch brings a compelling proposition for the cost‑minded jet‑setter.
Here are the Delhi and Mumbai flights that will be upgraded to feature the Stretch product on August 9, 2025.
- Delhi → Singapore: Flight 6E 1368 departs DEL at 09:05, arrives SIN at 17:45 (approx. six hours and 10 minutes).
- Singapore → Delhi: Flight 6E 1014 departs SIN at 19:45, lands in DEL at 23:05 (approx. five hours and 50 minutes).
- Mumbai → Singapore: Flight 6E 1011 departs BOM at 08:40, arrives SIN at 17:20 (approx. six hours and 10 minutes).
- Singapore → Mumbai: Flight 6E 1012 departs SIN at 19:45, lands BOM at 23:05 (approx. five hours and 50 minutes).
These evening departures from Singapore deliver you home by late night, while return services depart in the morning, arriving in the early evening. The airline currently operates 59 weekly flights to Singapore from nine cities in India, including Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Tiruchirappalli.
Stretch Arrives in Dubai
Hot on the heels of Singapore’s debut, Stretch will ascend to Delhi–Dubai from August 30, 2025, followed by Mumbai–Dubai on September 3, 2025. This expansion underscores IndiGo’s strategic pivot to selectively premiumize, before expanding Stretch domestically again. After all, the international sectors are more suited to get a revenue premium on a front cabin, as compared to the domestic one.
IndiGo will move two daily flights on DEL-DXB to the Stretch product (one departing in the morning and one in the evening). Subsequently, BOM-DXB will go to two flights a day on the Stretch product as of September 3, 2025. Subsequently, a third daily flight will also be added on the Stretch product.
Bottomline
IndiGo has determined that it is better off offering a premium cabin to those who fly with it regionally rather than domestically; hence, it has started to direct some of the new capacity on the IndiGo Stretch product to regional stations such as Dubai and Singapore. This will also allow IndiGo to sell, for instance, some connections between Singapore and London/Manchester via BOM, with a uniform product. Not just that, there would be ample demand for more comfortable rides on the Dubai routes, as well as on the Singapore segment, which doesn’t break the bank.

What about chennai Singapore Bangalore Singapore
Makes eminent sense instead of spending corporate travel dollars on full service business for regional corporate travel.
Lounge access is available against credit card plastic anyway.
I’m sure they will lure quite a few cost concious corporate travellers with this.
