IndiGo adds flights to Singapore and Bangkok from Mumbai

IndiGo started its international operations in September 2011 with Delhi-Dubai flights. Along with Delhi-Dubai flights, IndiGo also added flights to Singapore and Bangkok from Mumbai and Delhi and Dubai from Mumbai in the initial phase.

In 2013, IndiGo discontinued flights to Singapore from both Delhi and Mumbai as well as to Bangkok from Mumbai while adding flights to Singapore from Chennai and Hyderabad and a second frequency on Delhi-Bangkok route. Later on, IndiGo pulled out of Delhi-Bangkok route completely.

Since then, Indigo hasn’t restarted flights to Singapore and Bangkok from Mumbai and Delhi. With the Government allocating Jet Airways international bilateral rights to Indian carriers, IndiGo managed to secure rights to add 84 weekly flights. While some new flights are added using Jet Airways bilaterals, others are added using its own bilateral rights.

From August 22, 2019, IndiGo will once again add flights to Singapore and Bangkok from Mumbai. The schedule for the flights are,

6E1794 BOM2125 – 0335(+1 day)BKK 320 D
6E1793 BKK1525 – 1835BOM 320 D

6E19 BOM0825 – 1640SIN 320 D
6E29 SIN1930 – 2230BOM 320 D

6E 1793 has a similar schedule as 9W69. IndiGo is offering introductory one-way fares of INR 9499 on the Mumbai – Singapore route and INR 8499 on the Mumbai – Bangkok route. If you notice there is rather long turnaround time at Bangkok. So IndiGo might be planning to add another Bangkok connection.
