IHG One Rewards, the loyalty programme of InterContinental Hotels Group, has announced a new promotion, which is going live at the time of writing this post. The offer has the potential to be lucrative for someone planning to use it for summer hotel stays.

IHG One Rewards’ Summer 2023 promotion offers 2K/10K Points

IHG One Rewards’ new global promotion will offer either 2,000 bonus points after every two nights or 10,000 bonus points after every four nights stay. You should sign up for the 10,000 points promotion version, as it is more generous, provided you have plans to stay at least four nights at IHG hotels in the coming months. The promotion is valid from June 6 through August 31, 2023.

If a member has registered for the 2,000 Points Offer, they can earn 2,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete two (2) Qualifying Room Nights during the Promotion Period. If a member registers for the 10,000 Points Offer, they can earn 10,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points each time they complete four (4) Qualifying Room Nights during the Promotion Period. The nights don’t have to be consecutive, so you could earn 10,000 bonus points after four nights regardless of whether you stay four nights with one stay or four nights with four stays.

A member can only register for one of these two offers. Once a member has registered for one, the member is only eligible for that offer and cannot register for the other one. To be a “Qualifying Room Night” under the Promotion, a minimum 1-night stay at a participating hotel must be booked under a Qualifying Rate, with a total spend exceeding USD 30 (or local equivalent) for each night.

Participating hotels include all IHG® Hotels & Resorts and Mr and Mrs Smith properties, except those Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas that do not participate in IHG One Rewards. Iberostar Beachfront Resorts that are not yet fully integrated into the IHG One Rewards program also do not participate in this Promotion. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or Expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion.
