IHG One Rewards has launched its summer 2022 promotion, which looks pretty awesome, in light of the recent changes to the IHG loyalty programme, including the change of name.

IHG One Rewards New Global Promotion – Earn 4 times faster

With IHG One Rewards’ new global promotion, members can earn more bonus points as long as they stay more at IHG participant hotels. The promotion is valid for stays between May 18 and August 31, 2022.

Here is how the points increase:

• You earn 2x IHG points for 2-5 nights during the promotion period
• You earn 3x IHG points for 6-14 nights during the promotion period
• You earn 4x IHG points for 15+ nights during the promotion period

The first night stayed does not attract any bonus points. Registration for the promotion is required prior to an eligible stay and can be done between May 4 and August 31, 2022. Nights booked anytime, and stayed during the promotion period would be eligible to earn bonus points during the promotion.

IHG One Rewards usually offers 10 points per USD spent at most brands and 5 points per USD spent at Candlewood and Staybridge Suites. Bonus points are awarded in the ratio: 20, 40 and 60% for Silver, Gold and Platinum respectively and  Diamond members receive a 100% bonus.

All paid nights booked directly with IHG qualify for this promotion, as long as the nightly rate is at least $30 (award nights don’t qualify). The bummer here, though, is that you can only earn up to a maximum of 100,000 IHG bonus points during the promotion period.

Bottomline

IHG One Rewards has revealed the details of its summer 2022 promotion, which will be valid for stays between May 18 and August 31, 2022. With this promotion, you earn more bonus points the more you stay with IHG-branded hotels. You earn up to 4 times the usual points. This is a pretty good promotion, especially in light of the redone IHG One Rewards program. However, the cap is a slight bummer.
