IHG Accelerate is the 2016 name of the IHG customized promotions that they have been offering for the past few years. IHG has already run one round of the promotion in 2016, and speculation was abuzz if the next round of this promotion was going to come about. And it has!
IHG will be offering the IHG Accelerate promotion between the period June 1, 2016 to August 31, 2016, and your offers are now available, once you follow the link and register for your promotion. The promotion offers a minimum of 30,000 IHG points to new accounts, but your mileage may vary. The tasks given to you are applicable only on qualifying rates, which means usual revenue rates and not stuff like crew rates or friends and family rates.
Here is my promotion, which allows me to earn a maximum of 78,400 points. I can complete the whole offer by getting out of India on two weekends and taking home the bounty, but I may choose not to do so, just because IHG wants me to. You could strategically use this with the book direct promotion and get a big boat load of points! You get a 1000 points to just register. There is also the bonus spends promotion, where you get 2X points for putting charges on your folio.

If I can club it with the current promotion, total earning potential is 85’000 bonus points – 30k from book direct and 55k from the above mentioned promotion.

I’ve heard but not confirmed that this is only for IHG members in Europe.
Spire elite and not eligible. Will book elsewhere until this gets resolved.

Not eligible on 2 accounts
After accepting terms it says I am not eligible. I am in US and Platinum (via credit card). I went ahead and cancelled two outstanding reservations until I find out what’s up.
Of course, each offer has been getting progressively worse for me anyway.
I get the message: “We’re sorry, but you’re not eligible for this campaign.”
