HSBC creates new luxury property for online shopping with TataCLiQ Luxury ensuring enhanced benefits

HSBC has had renewed vigour under the leadership of Hitendra Dave to reinvent the banking business as a foreign bank would in India, and this is paying off over the past year or so, as the Bank becomes the unquestioned lifestyle banking leader in India from a foreign banking perspective. One of the most visible aspects of the strategy has been HSBC’s association with prominent properties offering premium and luxury services. For instance, they launched the HSBC Lounge on BookMyShow earlier on to provide exclusive ticketing to HSBC customers for events. They’ve also been out and about, investing in events through their sponsorships, including those featuring Indian classical artists.

HSBC is taking on a few more such initiatives this month. For one, HSBC will introduce a new version of HSBC Premier Banking sometime today, as teased on their Instagram. I’ll wait until we have the whole picture.

HSBC ties up with Tata CLiQ Luxury for premium online shopping

Yesterday, HSBC launched a new shopping destination, called HSBC Luxe Avenue, in partnership with Tata CLiQ Luxury. The property is exclusively available to HSBC Premier Customers and HSBC Taj Credit Card holders.

The image features a close-up of a hand holding a spoon over an ornate cup with a floral pattern. The hand is adorned with several rings. Above, there is a black banner with the HSBC logo and the text "LUXE AVENUE" followed by "An invitation to the extraordinary."

Here is what the HSBC x Tata CLiQ Luxury collaboration is offering:

  • Early Access to collections such as Art of Travel, The Wedding Store, The Gifting Store and key brand launches on Tata Cliq Luxury, such as Sabyasachi, Cartier, Bvlgari, Good Earth, Piaget, Tom Ford, Panerai, Hublot, IWC, Balmain, Ragavendra Rathore, Polo Ralph Lauren, Mont Blanc and so on.
  • Additional Rewards, including CLiQ Perks, at a rate of 1.5% of the order value, in addition to the basic 2%. Each CLiQPerk is worth INR 1. In addition to this, customers can earn 5,000 CLiQ Perks on each transaction with a paid value of over INR 100,000 on Tata Unistore Platforms (once per month) and 20,000 CLiQ Perks on INR 500,000 Annual Shopping (once per calendar year). Ultimately, this translates into a 5% monthly reward and a 4% annual reward.

A digital concierge will also be available to assist with shopping. I’ve used this in the days when Tata CLiQ partnered with American Express in India. But before you jump on this, remember that with the American Express Platinum Card, you get 10X the usual rewards at TataCLiQ Luxury.

Ultimately, consider signing up for an HSBC Credit Card if you haven’t already done so, as HSBC is entering the market with great cards and attractive offers. Here are some links

Bottomline

HSBC has signed on with Tata CLiQ to curate a luxury property for its HSBC Premier and HSBC Taj Card members. Members can expect numerous additional perks from Tata CLiQ Luxury when shopping on the dedicated microsite. The extra perks are up to 11.5% on your shopping.
