As the new year has set in, it is time to get back on the treadmill to earn hotel status for the coming year. One of our top tips to get started on points in 2018 was to register for all the hotel promos out there, even if you don’t see any travel coming up right now. Here are the top 4 hotel promo registrations you should go for right away. 

IHG Accelerate

IHG’s Accelerate promotion is valid for stays between January 1 and April 30, 2018. Accelerate offers are personalized promotions that every IHG Rewards Club Member receives. There are smaller tasks to complete which get points and on completion of the whole set of tasks, you get a bigger bonus. In the past, we have earned over 75,000 bonus IHG Rewards Club points through a single accelerate promotion, and even if you can’t complete all the tasks it is fairly easy to earn bonus points by just downloading the IHG mobile app or completing one stay.

Marriott Megabonus

Marriott’s first MegaBonus in 2018 gets Marriott Rewards members bonus points beginning their second stay.  This offer is valid for all stays from January 16 through April 15, 2018.

Marriott Rewards members have an opportunity to earn:

• 2,000 bonus points per stay from the second stay onwards
• Additional 1,000 bonus points on weekend night stays
• The maximum number of points that can be earned through this offer is capped at 50,000 bonus points per account

Overall, that is a good number and it can get you a free night at any of Marriott’s Category 9 hotels like the London Marriott Hotel Park Lane. Alternatively, it can earn you 2 nights at the JW Marriott in Bengaluru or the JW Marriott Sahar in Mumbai.

  • An additional 500 bonus points on weekend night stays (Friday or Saturday night/ Thursday or Friday in the Middle East)

Hilton Honors Points Unlimited

Hilton’s first promotion points unlimited and will allow members to earn bonus points from their first stay. Under this offer, you can earn extra points for stays between January 1 and April 30, 2018.

Here is what Hilton Honors points unlimited offers:

• 2000 bonus points on every stay
• Additional 10,000 bonus points on every fifth stay

Bottomline

It will take less than a minute to register for all the promotions.  I’d say you register for them right away even if you don’t have firm stay plans yet. It’s easy to forget so best to register and forget about. If you do make stays at any of these hotels chains you’ll have extra points coming your way.
