HDFC Bank Credit Cards transfer bonuses on IHG One Rewards and Flying Blue [July 20-21, 2024]

HDFC Bank Credit Cards launched several credit card point transfer partners last year. This month, an upcoming promotion will offer a limited window of transfer opportunities with bonuses. This post aims to give you a heads-up on these upcoming opportunities.

HDFC Bank Credit Cards Conversion Bonus on IHG One and Flying Blue

HDFC Bank Credit Cards has an ongoing promotion for customers with an HDFC Bank Infinia Metal, Infinia, Diners Club Black Metal, Diners Club Black, or Regalia Gold credit card. Over the weekend of July 20-21, 2024, if you convert your points from these credit cards, a bonus will be credited over and above the normal conversion of your points into miles.

  • 30% Bonus on transfer to Flying Blue
  • 80% Bonus on transfer to IHG One

Here are the transfer bonuses and how they will work for HDFC Bank’s Infinia/Metal and Diners Club Black/Metal.

For Regalia Gold, here is how the transfer bonus will work.

Remember, you can transfer the following number of points per month:

  • 1,50,000 Reward Points per calendar month for HDFC Bank Infinia / Metal Credit Card
  • 75,000 Reward Points per calendar month for HDFC Bank Diners Club Black / Metal Card
  •  50,000 Reward Points per calendar month for HDFC Bank Regalia Gold Credit Card

Should you transfer?

With Flying Blue, some good rates are available on flights out of India. For instance, a promotional rate under the Flying Blue Promos is currently running, which offers Bangalore to Paris/Amsterdam for 18,750 Flying Blue Miles plus INR 5,200 in the economy cabin, whether non-stop on Air France or one-stop on KLM. With conversion under this bonus, it becomes 14,400 Infinia points. Also, don’t forget that Air France and KLM have great business-class products. With IHG, you should check dates for the properties you want to be at and then see if it is a good deal or not to book via a transfer bonus.

HDFC Bank Credit Cards is offering a transfer bonus to Flying Blue and IHG One Rewards this weekend (July 20-21, 2024). There will be another transfer bonus next weekend for three transfer partners. The bonus is applicable on transfer from HDFC Bank Infinia Metal, Infinia, Diners Club Black Metal, Diners Club Black, or Regalia Gold credit card.

  1. I believe there is a snag on the SmartBuy website. While trying to use my Infinia Card, the IHG transfer transaction did not go through, giving me an error, but points were debited, and the transaction was missing in the Accounts section (of my SmartBuy account). whereas while using my DCB Card, the transaction went through and was also reflected in my IHG account.
    On calling SmartBuy and HDFC Card, they are still unable to locate such an anomaly. It looks like I’ll have to wait and see. I have been informed that ‘such’ points that have fallen through the cracks will be reversed in 30 days. Alas, I may miss such points transfer window.

    I would be keen to learn if anybody else has faced such an issue and a possible resolution.
