When it comes to business spending, HDFC Bank Credit Cards were the first off-the-mark to react to changes in the space and launch a bouquet of credit cards, which provided a sizeable amount of rewards for business spending as well. These cards are the HDFC Bank Business Cards, available to entrepreneurs, their directors, sole proprietors, freelancers, etc.
Why should you have the HDFC Bank Biz Credit Cards?
HDFC Bank offers business credit cards, including Biz Black, Biz Power, Biz Grow, Business MoneyBack and Business Regalia. Out of these, the Biz range, Biz Black, Biz Power and Biz Grow are new and launched in 2024. These cards provide up to 5X reward points on your spending, which include payment of taxes (Income Tax as well as GST), spending on business travel incurred through MakeMyTrip Biz, spending on tools for business such as email and others and so on.
As a Business owner and a Director, I have the HDFC Bank BizBlack Credit Card, which I opened in April 2024. This is the card that I have used for the payment of GST as well as Income Tax dues since the day I landed it, and I think that it should be a card in every entrepreneur’s hand, whether a freelancer, or a propreitor or an owner of a bigger business. There are no questions asked, after all, about various spending, which even personal credit cards ask you about.
Additionally, you get 5X points on business spending, which means that on my card variant, I get 25 points/INR 150 spent, making it 25 INR worth of points when used via SmartBuy. HDFC Bank offering vouchers for tax payments using Business Credit Cards
HDFC Bank Credit Cards has announced a new promotion, where, if you use their Business credit cards in the current advance tax season, the bank is offering a plethora of benefits.
Now, forget for a second that the guy does not look Indian or that the card he is holding up is not an HDFC Bank Credit Card. The promotion is lucrative. The Bank is offering an INR 1,000 Voucher when you pay an advance income tax of a minimum of INR 30,000 with your HDFC Bank Business Credit Card, between September 1-15, 2024. To qualify for this promotion, you can pay the tax on the Income Tax website.
The INR 1,000 voucher can be redeemed on brands such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Zomato, and Swiggy when it arrives (within 90 days), and it already has a 3.33% value for paying taxes. Not only that, you also earn 5X points, subject to minimum spending per billing cycle, which makes it a total value of 16.5% + 3.3% (so a total of 19.8%) on paying for your taxes due with this card.
Bottomline
HDFC Bank Credit Cards, in their Business Credit Card range, offer vouchers over and above the usual rewards if you spend a minimum of INR 30,000 on paying advance tax with your card between September 1 and 15, 2024. This is a potentially lucrative promotion, taking up returns from paying taxes on your card up to 19.8%.

Hi I had used my HDFC Business Regalia for paying GST, however I was charged additional amounts for the same!
@Jitesh, the additional amount is the 0.75-1% surcharge for using a credit card on the payment gateway.
