Flying Returns website is up and running

Reader Shivam wrote to me a couple of days ago that he was not able to get past the login on the Flying Returns website, and was wondering if it was because of the hack that apparently happened a few days ago. Then, this morning it turns up on Flyertalk as well, where someone wrote:

Online availability on the AI website for flying returns is still down. Couple of weeks ago it was hacked. Only way to book is via the phone.

I just thought of taking my account for a spin and figuring out if this was indeed the case or not (apart from the fact that I’d already checked in yesterday). It turns out the Air India award availability engine is working fine, and there was no need to worry.

I managed to log in, and after getting through, I did make a search for a flight to see if it goes through or not. Turns out it is indeed working fine. See the results, along with the timestamp at the bottom of the picture:

Further, I went with a random flight to see if it booked, and here are the results, which clearly shows it works fine.

So, if some of you are worried that you are not able to book tickets on the Air India frequent flyer program engine, this is just to assure you that the whole thing works fine, and you should maybe try again from a different browser if it does not work for you.

Have you been experiencing some sort of outage with the Air India Flying Returns page as well?
