One of the largest set of queries I notice on my blog is that for accessing lounges in India. While I know it makes life easy, airlines & airline alliances offer it to their elite customers only, and credit cards as well extend it to their card holders who hold certain varieties of credit cards. Here is the list of MasterCard and Visa cards based lounge access in India.

For those who did not have lounge access via any of the other modes, membership to the Priority Pass or similar programs were necessary. These usually come complimentary along with credit cards, however, users would have to pay a $27 fee per guest per use, unless they had the highest version of the Priority Pass.

Except for a few lounges, usually the option to buy lounge access on a one-off basis seemed non-existent. However, I recently chanced upon a new section on ezeego1.com, where they offer to book lounge access for you across 70 airports globally, for a fee.

The list of airports looks very nice, and has the fees in US Dollar terms as well for those interested, however there is no mention of the Lounges being used at those airports to book in passengers. Since the transaction booking is not online and someone from Ezeego1 would call you before making the reservation, it perhaps sounds like a good idea to try.

It seems worth a shot for those who do not subscribe to a credit card or are elites, but have long layovers which they may want lounge access for on a one-off basis.
