Etihad Airways has been teasing a massive reveal of its expansion plans at various public forums for a while now. The airline intends to double its fleet and number of destinations by the time it enters the next decade, so it is going all guns blazing.

Last week, Etihad released a teaser video, dishing out hints about its new destinations to be announced. Here is the video.

Today, the airline revealed the details of the expansion plans.

Etihad to launch flights to 10 new destinations in 2025

Today, Etihad Airways unveiled its plans to add ten new routes. With this addition, Etihad will fly to over 90 destinations by the time this expansion is fully implemented. Today’s announcement excludes Al Alamein (DBB), Prague (PRG) and Warsaw (WAW), which have already been announced for 2025 launch.

Here are the details of the new destinations, all intended to be launched in the second half of 2025.

Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves made the following statement while announcing the growth plans,

This expansion reflects our commitment to listening to our valued guests. We’ve carefully chosen cities that embody the experiences, adventures, and opportunities that matter to them. Whether seeking inspiring landscapes, vibrant cultural experiences, reuniting with family and friends, pursuing business growth, or educational journeys, our new routes will help make their travel dreams a reality.

This moment is not just about expanding our network; it’s about sharing Abu Dhabi with the world. With its endless sunshine, diverse cuisine, rich culture, exhilarating family theme parks, and safe, beautiful beaches, Abu Dhabi offers something for everyone. Our expanded network will make it easier than ever for guests to experience everything our home city has to offer.

Launching ten new destinations in a single day underscores our unwavering commitment to growing our airline with a fantastic route network and world-class, customer-focused service. This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of our team and the ongoing support of our guests.

2025 marks a pivotal year for Etihad, with over 90 destinations in over 50 countries and a fleet of more than 110 aircraft – including A321LRs – welcoming over 20 million guests onboard.

With that out of the way, Etihad also showed us how it served us some doozies by putting out the announcement in the same format it made the clue announcement.

Bottomline

Etihad has announced ten new destinations, all of which will be launched in the second part of 2025, bringing the carrier’s network to over 90 destinations. Most of this expansion is powered by the A321LRs, which are yet to be inducted into the fleet. But Atlanta will be launched with an A350-1000 aircraft, and the 787-9 aircraft will power the launch of the Hong Kong and Taipei flights.

What do you think of Etihad’s ten new destinations?
