As a truly global airline, Emirates has a massive loyalty programme as well. Emirates Skywards got its 25 millionth member in September 2019, and the airline is making some considerable discount offers to celebrate it with their members.
25% Discount on Redeeming Skywards Miles for flights and upgrades
If you are flying in or out of Dubai, you can get a classic Emirates Award flight for 25% lesser number of miles. Remember, American Express Membership Rewards, and Marriott Bonvoy are transfer partners for Emirates Skywards. To get this discount, you need to book your flight by September 19, 2019, 11:59 UAE Time. Your travel needs to be completed by December 12, 2019. The trip needs to be booked as a Saver award flight and is valid for an economy or business class redemption only.
Do remember, however, that Emirates has some massive fuel surcharges on redemptions.
So, you are better off using your miles for an upgrade, which is also up for a 25% discount. You can upgrade from Economy to Business Class or Business to First Class. You need to have a Flex/Flex Plus revenue booking to avail of the offer. Again, you need to reserve your upgrades by September 19, 2019, and begin your travel by December 12, 2019.
Buy/Gift Skywards Miles at 25% Discount
Through October 2, 2019, you can buy or gift Emirates miles at a 25% discount. Even if you already bought miles this year, this promotion will allow you to buy up to 100K Miles. You need to ensure is that your account has at least one activity (such as an Emirates flight credit or a transaction with an Emirates partner). The minimum purchase is for 5000 miles, and your purchased miles will post within 48 hours. This promotion, along with a 25% off on classic award flights, could be worth a dekko!
Sign up for Skywards at Dubai Airport
Emirates is also doling out prizes at the Dubai Airport. For instance, if you don’t have a Skywards account, you can get one at Dubai Terminal 3 for a chance to win 25,000 Skywards miles, lounge access and more.
