Eazydiner has been my go-to table-booking app in India ever since it launched the Prime programme in association with American Express. I’ve booked many restaurants with them for business meetings and personal meals, enough to have earned tens of thousands of EazyDiner points with them. With the pandemic, however, restaurants shut down for an extended period, and EazyDiner has had to re-invent itself to keep up with the times.

EazyDiner now also allows for booking deliveries and takeaway meals with their new version. You pre-order a meal, pay for it and can pick it up from the restaurant at a pre-agreed time for the takeaway. For deliveries, the restaurant directly delivers the meal to you. You continue to earn EazyDiner points on order placed via the app.

To promote the uptake of the new feature set, EazyDiner has tied up with American Express to offer up to 10X Membership Rewards points to EazyDiner customers who pay with their American Express Credit Cards between August 7, 2020, and July 31, 2021. The offer is open on personal cards only, and not corporate cards.

Here is how many points you can earn, depending on the card you pay with.

• 10 Membership Rewards points for every INR 40 spent
  • American Express Centurion Card
  • American Express Platinum Card
• 5 Membership Rewards points for every INR 50 spent
  • American Express Platinum Travel Card (Free)
  • American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card (Free)
  • American Express Gold Card
  • American Express Smart Earn Card

Cardmembers are eligible to receive the bonus MR points even if they are not EazyDiner Prime members. The Bonus Membership Rewards points are only available for the credit if the transaction is carried out through the EazyDiner mobile app, website or mobile site. There is no limit on the maximum Bonus Membership Rewards Points that a cardmember can avail. Bonus Membership Rewards points will get credited to Cardmember’s account within seven working days of the transaction being completed.

I think this is a great way to earn Membership Rewards points dining at home with your favourite restaurants like you always do, and earn bonus Membership Rewards in the process.
