InterContinental Hotels Group has been offering a promotion to customers to book directly via the website or mobile site since March 2016. Under this promotion, if you book a room with the IHG chain of hotels (InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites® hotels and resorts) using the IHG website by December 31, 2016 for a stay between the same dates, you will be getting extra points for your stay.
We have written extensively about this promotion over a few times, every time it got extended. Now, one of the nuances of the promotion is, that even if you don’t want to be using the promotion, you could still register for it and get 1000 IHG Reward Club Points. Under the new IHG Rewards Club Rules, you need to make at least one activity every 12 months to keep your points active, and this could help you achieve that goal.
Anyways, never say no to free miles & points in the first place! My wife got her miles within a week of registering.
