Hyatt hotels has released a promotion where World of Hyatt members can earn double points for all stays between November 15 and December 31, 2017.
The deadline to register for this offer is until November 30, 2017, and only reservations made via Hyatt.com and Hyatt’s mobile app will qualify for double points. Stays booked via travel agents or any other channels are not eligible for this promotion.
If you book more than one rooms then only the room occupied by the member will earn the bonus on base points. Points will take between 2-3 weeks after stay completion to reflect in your account.
World of Hyatt members usually get 5 base points for every eligible US dollar spent. Under this promotion, the points earned will double up to 10 for every USD spent. Let’s say you have a stay booked at the Grand Hyatt or the Park Hyatt Resort & Spa in Goa around the upcoming holiday period where a room night is priced at about USD 220/ INR 14,000. Under this offer you will earn 2200 points for every night you stay here.
Hyatt category 1 redemptions start at 5,000 points per night. Therefore a 3 nights stay in Goa will get you a free night at the Hyatt Regency in Chandigarh or the Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu, both fantastic category 1 hotel option for reward stays.

Bottomline:
Hyatt has some beautiful properties and World of Hyatt points can be very valuable for redemption at some of these hotels. Also in India, there is very little opportunity to earn points as Hyatt presently does not have any credit card transfer partners in India or any co-brand cards.
@Patrick: I think you’ve got it wrong. I believe the terms just require an eligible rate.

It looks like those of us fortunate enough to benefit from the Citi 4th night rebate are not going to get double points because that has to be booked through Citi’s concierge, and not directly with Hyatt.
You are correct. Hyatt finally posted an FAQ regarding the promo and one of the things was an explanation of the DBL points tab on the booking page vs. this promo.

The Double Your Points rate is available at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts, where you receive double points when paying that rate.
This Double Points offer is a promotion valid for a limited time awarding double points when you register for the promotion and complete an Eligible Stay, during the promotion period of November 15, 2017 through December 31, 2017. Only Base Points are doubled under this offer. Additional Bonus Points obtained under the Double Your Points rate are not doubled under this offer.
Well this certainly doesn’t work for me. The property I’m staying at costs an additional $34 for the DBL your points rate. Based on that, to get my extra points I’d be paying .03 per point. No thanks.
I initially thought it was going be a “normal” promo and you’d get DBL points for the same rate.
I’m definitely going to pass.
