Air India currently has some good deals on flights between India and Milan, one of its European destinations. I thought it would be useful to post a quick update on this.

India – Milan Malpensa (return) flight pricing for just 28,000 INR

Air India operates flights from Delhi to Milan Malpensa Airport, the airport in Milan mainly used for international arrivals and departures in Milan. On a normal trip, the flight costs over INR 60,000 INR.

However, at the moment, many dates between August and October 2024 are priced at INR 28,000 to INR 36,000 from various stations in India. For instance, here are ticket dates for October 2024.

There are many dates available from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and other stations. In all the cases that are not Delhi, an added flight is required to bring you to Delhi and then, on arrival in Delhi, to bring you back to your eventual destination. So fares are slightly higher.

The best way to look up these fares is on Air India’s website, AirIndia.com, using the booking engine. On various dates, you will be able to see the fares (according to the number of days you intend to stay).

For instance, there are many dates available from Delhi at an INR 28.1 K round-trip fare.

From Mumbai, it is priced at INR 28.6K for some dates and 30.8K for others on Air India’s website.

Here are fares from Bengaluru at INR 35.7K and INR 43.4K.  

Other origin points from India might also be available, so you need to play around on Air India’s website.

The best way to pay for these tickets would be with an American Express Platinum Card, where you get 25 points/INR 100 spent on Air India, or with ICICI Bank Credit Cards, which offer an INR 2,000 discount. Another option would be the Axis Bank Atlas Credit Card.

Bottomline

If you’d like to fly to Milan, Italy, you might want to book this fare on Air India. You should be able to book tickets back and forth for just INR 28,000 (EUR 310). The fare is available on airindia.com and is best booked with an American Express Platinum Card, ICICI Bank Credit Cards or Axis Bank Atlas.
