How does the American Express Rewards Multiplier Work?
Before you shop, you need to click through the link from the Reward Multiplier website, which takes you to a screen like this.
Reward Multiplier Special Promotion offering up to 25X Membership Rewards Points
American Express will offer 25 Membership Rewards points/INR 100 on all cards, offering the Reward Multiplier feature for orders placed between January 24 and January 28, 2025. This is a significant hike for the lower-end American Express Cards.
During this promotional period, Reward Multiplier offers of 5X Membership Rewards points on American Express Platinum Card and American Express Gold Card and 2X Membership Rewards points on American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card and other American Express Proprietary Cards which are participating in this promotion will not be applicable. Cardmembers will instead get a higher accelerated earn of 25 Membership Rewards Points on every spend of INR 100 via the Rewards Multiplier.
These include:
- Flipkart
- MakeMyTrip
- Etihad
- Croma
- Tanishq
- FabIndia
- Marks & Spencers
- Apple
- Uniqlo
- Lenovo
- One Plus
- Samsung
- Ajio
- Myntra
The e-voucher sale will not attract 25 points/INR 100 spent.
The T&Cs for the promotion are here.
Bottomline
This is a lucrative offer if you believe in the power of Membership Rewards points as I do. For cardmembers of the American Express Gold Charge Card, American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card and other such cards, it benefits them even more. Instead of 4-10 points/INR 100, they will now earn over 25 MR points/INR 100 spent. So go on and shop over and make the most of this promotion. The offer is not valid on American Express corporate cards.

If I have plat charge and gold charge card linked to same rewards account, will I be eligible for 25k points on each card?
@Gaurav, no clear answers to that from me, I don’t end up using the portal to its full potential. The language on the T&C just says 25K, not on per account or per card.
Is American Express Platinum Travel card category excluded as I didnt receive this offer?
