How does the American Express Rewards Multiplier Work?
Before you shop, you need to click through the link from the Reward Multiplier website, which takes you to a screen like this.
Reward Multiplier Special Promotion
After a similar promotion on August 14/15, American Express is offering 15 Membership Rewards points on all cards which are offering the Reward Multiplier feature for orders placed between September 26 and October 4, 2020. This is a significant hike for the lower end American Express Cards for sure.
During this promotional period, Reward Multiplier offers of earning 5X Membership Rewards points on American Express Platinum Card, 3X Membership Rewards points on American Express Platinum Reserve Credit Card and American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card and 2X Membership Rewards points on other American Express Proprietary Cards will not be applicable. Cardmember will instead get a higher accelerated earn of 15 Membership Rewards Points on every spend of ₹100 via the Rewards Multiplier.
Bottomline
This is a pretty lucrative offer if you believe in the power of Membership Rewards points as I do. For cardmembers of the American Express Gold Charge Card, American Express Membership Rewards Credit Card and other such cards, it benefits them even more given instead of 4 points/INR 100 they will now earn 15 points/INR 100 spent. So go on and shop over and make the most of this promotion.

Hi Ajay
I don’t think this is correct – “Cardmember will instead get a higher accelerated earn of 15 Membership Rewards Points on every spend of ₹100”.
Or, well, it can be misunderstood.
One needs to shop through reward multiplier to get 15 points per 100 rupees spent. “All” spends won’t earn extra points.
Thanks
