Hilton has been frequently in an arrangement with Visa to offer complimentary Hilton Gold status to Visa’s premium credit card holders. They had a complimentary Hilton Gold status promotion last year as well, where people could register online and get instant Hilton Gold status.
Visa & Hilton have brought back their joint promotion, however, this time the Hilton Gold promotion is valid only for Visa Infinite card holders, for cards issued in Asia Pacific (except Japan), Central Europe, Middle East and Africa. The promotion is valid till December 31, 2014 and one needs to call the Visa Concierge number to be able to upgrade their membership to the Gold Tier.
I find the Gold Tier at Hilton one of the best mid-tier hotel loyalty status, since you get breakfast for two, complimentary wifi and space available upgrades.
MasterCard, on the other hand, is offering SPG Gold status after one stay.

Hi AJ, last time I was able to get it with my Citi PM Visa Signature card and is still valid.
Just out of curiosity, this time, if I go to Concierge, surprisingly, I don’t see India as option.
I think ICICI has Visa Infinite Carbon Card for 1000pa fee. http://www.icicibank.com/aboutus/article/icici-bank-carbon-partnership-with-visa.html
Do you know anyother card ?
Also, what is the validity of Hilton Gold with this offer. If it comes complimentary with the card, it makes sense to get this ICICI one.
