Club Carlson, the loyalty program for the hotels managed by Carlson Rezidor Hotel, such as Radisson Blu, Radisson, Radisson Red, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, Quorvus Collection and Country Inns & Suites is currently offering a status match opportunity with other hotel programs.
If you have an elite status with another hotel group, then all you’ll have to do is send an email to statusmatch@carlsonrezidor.com with “Status Match” in the subject line and the following details:
- Your full name
- Your Club Carlson membership number
- Name of the other hotel loyalty program you want a status match from
- Membership number & elite tier level of the hotel loyalty program
- Enclose a (PDF or JPG) copy of your membership card with the other hotel loyalty program
You can access all details for the status match on Club Carlson’s webpage here
Club Carlson has 4 tiers of membership level starting with Red, Silver, Gold and Concierge being the highest. This status match is available for Silver and Gold tiers only. Apart form complimentary room upgrades, discount on food & beverages, early check-in and late check-out, Club Carlson Silver members earn 15% bonus points and Gold members are eligible to 35% bonus points on all eligible stays. Gold does not even get you free breakfast like it does in Marriott and Hilton, so it isn’t the best status out there, but some status is better than nothing for that odd stay.
Like I have already mentioned before that the Carlson Rezidor Group operates 7 hotel brands and has one of the largest collection of hotels in about 78 cities in India. It is perhaps the only chain hotel you will find in smaller towns like Zirakpur, Salem and Ranchi.
Bottomline:
Considering the footprint of hotels Carlson Rezidor has, this status match is definitely worth a go if you have an elite status with another hotel loyalty program. It should take a week to process. I’ve sent in my Hyatt Diamond credentials, and will report back when the status match is processed.
I have contacted Club Carlson and applied for the status match, what will you do?

Thanks for the tip!
Is this just for India?
@ Anne – This is a global promotion
Gold is absolutely worthless. Never get upgraded (even asking), always told sold out but rooms are available for sale.
Customer service at Radisson Blu hotels is atrocious, have to tweet at Club Carlson all the time, no welcome gifts, Radisson Blu Oslo room was only prepared for 1 person. General attitude of staff is that you’re bothering them.
Waste of time.
Hi Ajay,
I have been staying with family lately in the chain hotels and am interested in getting an international hotel chain status. It also appears that one can lead to another, so am interested!
I do have the Trident Privilege Gold / Taj Inner circle Plus Gold, they are pretty useful, but don’t think the international chains accept these for a status match. Is it possible to get an international hotel membership without having to fulfil the onerous number of stays / nights requirement? Such as through a credit card or through buying the annual membership?
@Krishna The AMEX Platinum credit card gives complimentary membership mid tier status on certain hotel loyalty programs.
Also, certain hotel chains such as Hyatt & Hilton offer challenges where for a lesser number of stays you can get an elite status. Look at this for instance http://livefromalounge.boardingarea.com/2016/05/26/instant-hilton-gold-status/
