The Marriott and SPG Merger timeline were announced this week, and from August 2018, there will be one single operating loyalty program offered at over 6500 hotels around the world. Here is what changes and what stays the same in the new program.
Registrations are now open for Hilton Honors new summer promotion that will be offering double points for stays starting May 1, 2018, onwards across the globe at over 5000 hotels.
Effective August 2018, Marriott Rewards, Starwood Preferred guest and Ritz-Carlton Rewards will combine to form a new unified loyalty program. There will be 5 tiers and here is an overview of the merged program.

Hilton Honors have dropped 11 airlines and added 9 new airlines as transfer partners. Additionally, there is also an improvement in the transfer ratio for three airlines. All of this, apart from the other changes being implemented today.
Hilton Honors introduced enhancements to the program earlier this year. These changes will come into effect from tomorrow April 3, 2018. This will include added abilities to earn points for elites, rollover nights and more bonuses for the top-tier elite!
Today is the last day to register for 3 hotel promotions Hyatt, SPG and Marriott. If you haven’t registered for these yet, I’d say that register for these promotions and forget about it. These are valid for stays through April 2018 & May 2018 in some cases.
JetPrivilege partners over 30 airlines around the world at the moment. They will discontinue an earn and burn partnership with Alitalia in the coming days. This would mean more partner airlines going away after Emirates, Gulf Air, American Airlines, United, Turkish, Lufthansa and Austrian.
