Carlson Hotels has launched a new promotion today named Dream Deals where Club Carlson members will receive an exclusive 30% discount on stays booked through June 30, 2018. This offer is open to all where non-members are eligible for a 20% or 25% discount depending on the participating hotels.

There is a member only private sale running until February 18, 2018, after which the discount will be open to all until  February 25, 2018, and the stay period is between February 28 and June 30, 2018.

In addition to the discount, members will also earn 2,500 bonus Gold points for every stay. The bonus points will be on top of the standard earning ratio of 20 points per US Dollar spent. The bonus points will take up to 6 weeks to reflect in your account.

The discounts are valid at participating Carlson hotels brand, Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson, Park Plaza and Park Inn by Radisson. All reservations will be fully prepaid and non-cancellable.

This is a true 30% discount offer for members, and I compared the rates at some hotels with OTAs.

Turns out that even after adding the 18% GST, booking the Radisson Blu directly saves ~2k per night.  I found a price difference with other hotels across South Asia as well.

Also, keep in mind that there is a limited number of rooms available and not all hotels are participating in the offer. The ones participating will have a blue dot with prices marked down mentioning Dream Deals.

Bottomline:

This is a better offer than Club Carlson’s current discount offer where they are giving 30% discount plus 1,500 bonus Goldpoints per stay for stays through this month.

Carlson Rezidor has about 1500 hotels spread across 115 countries. They have a strong footprint in India with a presence in 70 cities and a robust pipeline in the works. If you have travel plans through June, you should look at this offer. Considering a lot of India hotels have become cheaper this year, a larger pool of reward stays has become available this year.
