Cambodia Angkor Air to launch flights between Delhi and Phnom Penh in June 2024

While Air India and IndiGo are fighting it out for expansion in the trenches of South East Asia (read Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia) right now, there has been no coverage on the India – Cambodia route. Cambodia is squeezed between Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Laos. However, this is all set to change.

Cambodia Angkor Air to operate flights between Delhi and Phnom Penh effective June 2024

Cambodia Angkor Air today announced that the airline will operate direct flights between Delhi and Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s national capital four times a week, effective June 16, 2024. These will be the first-ever direct flights between India and Cambodia.

The airline will operate these flights using an A320ceo aircraft. The airline has 180-seater A320 aircraft which has 174 economy class seats and 6 Premium Economy seats, which are marketed as Business Class on certain routes. Business Class includes priority check-in with business class counter, business class lounge services, business class meals, and priority baggage claim, amongst other services.

The timings of the flight are

K6760 PNH 16:45-19:50 DEL
K6761 DEL 20:50-02:50 (+1) PNH

The flight will operate four times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. For the time being, the airline is selling the flights for INR 23,000 roundtrip as promotional pricing. As an aside, IndiGo is also approved to start flights to Seam Reap, which should launch later in the year.

India and Cambodia will establish direct air connectivity in June 2024, with Cambodia Angkor Air establishing a four-times-a-week service between Delhi and Phnom Penh on June 16, 2024. The airline will operate with an Airbus A320 aircraft.
