In this promotion, there will be a 50% bonus when you buy minimum 5,000 points and a 75% bonus kicks in when you purchase a minimum of 20,000 points. Points can be purchased in multiples of 1,000, and you can buy a maximum of 60,000 IHG Rewards Club points every year.  Therefore you can top up your IHG Rewards Club account with 1,05,000 points if you buy the maximum allowance of 60,000 points. IHG points can either be self-purchased or received as a gift from another member.   It will take up to 2 days for the points credit to reflect in your account.

IHG Rewards Club usually comes out with multiple bonuses offers every year. In 2017, there was 100% bonus on offer in September which was later extended until December 2017. The best IHG points promotion provides a 100% bonus on points purchased. So if you are not in need of IHG Rewards Club points right now, it is perhaps best to wait for the 100% bonus offer to come back again.
