At LiveFromALounge.com, we frequently talk about various promotions to buy points. Given their unique situation, a new airline/loyalty programme has entered the mix. This one is HawaiianMiles, the frequent flyer programme of Hawaiian Airlines. Alaska Airlines recently acquired Hawaiian, and now you can freely transfer miles between the two programmes, which makes it interesting.
Buy Hawaiian Airlines miles with a 100% Bonus.
Through November 15, 2024, HawaiianMiles is offering a 100% bonus on purchasing miles. The promotion kicks in if you purchase a minimum of 3,000 miles in one transaction, and you can buy up to 100,000 miles per transaction, with no limit to the total number of miles you can purchase.
Usually, you can buy Hawaiian miles for 2.5 USD cents each before bonuses. So, if you maximise this promotion, you can purchase 200,000 miles for USD 2,540, which comes to a price of 1.27 USD cents / INR 1.07 per mile.
This is perhaps the lowest cost seen for buying Hawaiian miles. Also, this is a significantly lower price than purchasing Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles, even if bought during a promotion. Given that one can transfer miles between Alaska and Hawaiian at a 1-1 ratio, these miles are the equivalent of buying Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles at this bargain basement price.
Here are some instances of the use case of these miles:
Flying around the US, coast to coast, for just 30K Miles and 6 USD Cash in First Class.
Mumbai/Delhi to the US Coast for as low as 85,000 miles on Qatar Airways Business Class + USD 70. India to Tokyo onboard Japan Airlines Business Class for 60,000 Miles + USD 30 also exists. You can also book Singapore Airlines using Alaska Airlines miles.
Alaska miles aren’t easy to earn, as the program doesn’t partner with any major transferable points currencies except Marriott Bonvoy.
Bottomline
Hawaiian Airlines is offering miles on a sale with a 100% bonus, which is an opportunity to acquire these for 1.27 USD cents each. These can then be transferred to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan on a 1-1 basis, which means you are acquiring Alaska Airlines miles for this low price, with no cap on how many you can buy by November 15, 2024.
Do you intend to buy Hawaiian Airlines miles with a 100% bonus?
