Axis Bank has been long working on expanding its portfolio of credit card customers to get ahead of its 4th largest issuer position in India. However, with significant P&L comes the great responsibility to protect it. And 2023 is the year when Axis Bank will work more on increasing the bottom-line contribution of the business now that they have completed the acquisition of Citi’s business. One of the moves towards this was put out without much fanfare.
Existing Lounge Access Benefits on Axis Bank Credit Cards.
Axis Bank used to offer lounge access benefits across three slabs (valid till May 31, 2023). The classification is as under:
- Set A eligible to access 14 lounges across India
- Axis Bank MY Zone Credit Card (one complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Pride Signature Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Advantage Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank My Wings Credit Card (one complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card (4 complimentary lounge access per year)
- Axis Bank ACE Credit Card (4 complimentary lounge access per year)
- Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card (4 complimentary lounge access per year)
These cards have access to the following lounges across India (till May 31, 2023)
- Set B is eligible to access 22 lounges across India
- Axis Bank Privilege Credit Card (2 complimentary access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Vistara Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Signature Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Infinite Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Wealth Signature Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Affluent Signature Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Signature Premier Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
These cards have access to the following lounges across India (till May 31, 2023)
- Set C is eligible to access 27 lounges across India.
- Axis Bank Miles & More World Credit Card (4 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Miles & More World Select Credit Card (8 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Magnus Credit Card (Unlimited Lounge Access)
- Axis Bank Select Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Vistara Signature Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Vistara Infinite Credit Card (2 complimentary lounge access per quarter)
- Axis Bank Reserve Credit Card (Unlimited complimentary lounge access)
- Axis Bank Burgundy Private Credit Card (Unlimited complimentary lounge access)

Changes to Lounge Access Benefits on Axis Bank Credit Cards, effective June 1, 2023.
Axis Bank has now reshuffled the lounge access benefits and has slotted all the benefits across two sets against three before. Here is how each card has been slotted and how much lounge access will be available per quarter to the card.
Additionally, here is the list of the lounges now provided for Set A. As you can see, all the lounges at international terminals have been eliminated, and also, in line with Plaza Premium lounges being given to Encalm, the Bank has signed up with them for lounge access at major airports.
And here is the list for Set B (new). Again, while the number of lounges accessible remains the same, all international terminals’ lounge access has been eliminated on the cards.
However, for the higher-end (HNI) cards, the Priority Pass may still be used for international lounge access, even domestically. For instance, this is the T&C for Magnus-accompanied Priority Pass.
Bottomline
Axis Bank has notified new lounge access policies on all credit cards effective June 1, 2023 (read here). While some of the moves are housekeeping, for instance, removing Plaza Premium Lounges and adding Encalm to the list, the lounge access on some of their entry-level cards has been rationalised. Additionally, the big news is that the card-based lounge access no longer entitles customers of the Bank’s cards to access lounges on the international terminal with their credit cards going forth across the board.

Quick question, what about the 080 T1 Lounge in Bangalore? That doesn’t seem to be on the list even for Magnus? Does that mean we use priority pass for that too?
@Sagar, it just means that you cannot use the lounge using the card presentment. But with PP, yes.

AJ, a question regarding my Premier miles card. Wherever I have saved this card, I now get a pop up of AXIS BANK. I know Citi has been taken over by axis bank, but is this card eligible for promotions/discounts on site where axis bank cards are accepted??? What is it’s equivalent in the AXIS CARD HIERARCHY?
@Devendra, no, PremierMiles will still count as a Citi card. Give it a few more months before integration completes and it counts as Axis Bank.
