Axis Bank Credit Cards offering vouchers for tax and insurance payments using their cards

For certain types of spending, it has become a no-no for many banks. However, Axis Bank Credit Cards continue to support spending through other offers, even when the primary card products lack a proper rewards offering for the specific product.

Axis Bank is offering vouchers for tax payments and insurance spend using Personal Credit Cards

Axis Bank Credit Cards has announced a new promotion, where, if you use their credit cards in the current advance tax season, the bank is offering a plethora of benefits.

The image is a promotional message from Axis Mobile about an offer for Axis Bank credit card users. It states that spending Rs. 10,000 on tax and insurance can earn a cashback of up to Rs. 1,000. Additionally, spending Rs. 1,50,000 can earn an extra Rs. 1,000. The offer is valid until September 30, 2025, and terms and conditions apply. The Axis Bank logo is visible in the top right corner.

 

Axis Bank is making the following offer:

  • You receive 2% cashback, up to INR 1000, on a minimum spend of INR 10,000 or more on Tax and Insurance payments.
  • Additionally, you receive cashback of up to INR 1000 on cumulative spends of INR 150,000 on Tax and Insurance payments during the offer period.
  • The Cashback will be given only once per customer
  • The cumulative spends across Tax and Insurance will be considered for cashback calculation. The maximum cashback offered will be INR 2000 per customer only
  • The MCCs for Tax, Insurance, and other Government services, which will be processed for cashback, are 5960, 6300, 6381, 6399, 9311, and 9399.

The cashback offer is valid across all existing Axis Bank Credit Cards. Here are some major Axis Bank Credit Cards where the offer is being made:

The promotion offers 2% Cashback for spending of at least INR 10,000 and an additional INR 1000. This means it tops off at INR 50,000 spent on advance tax, GST, or any other insurance-related spending. Beyond that, you get another INR 1000 cashback if you spend at least INR 1,50,000 on these two categories, and do so between the period August 20 and September 30, 2025.

  1. Does the tax spend includes in milestone spend during this offer period? I don’t think so but just want to double check.
