American Express offering 30,000 JPMiles signup bonus for Jet Airways co-branded credit card

Last year, when American Express and Jet Airways launched their co-branded Jet-Airways American Express Credit Card, they offered a special sign-up bonus of 10,000 JPMiles over and above the welcome gift of 20,000 JPMiles which is the standard on-going offer. However, the sign-up bonus was only available to those who paid the INR 10,000 + taxes as first year fees, hence, I chose to pay the fee in spite of being a JetPrivilege Platinum member and eligible for the credit card free of cost. I was getting miles at INR 0.33 per JPmile, and it was hard to beat that value.

On my last Jet Airways flight earlier this week, I saw flyers around the cabin talking about the special bonus of 30,000 JPMiles being back, however, I could not access the flyer myself. I am now hearing that a lot of people have been sent targeted emails by JetPrivilege to get this special bonus. Check your mailboxes, and if you think you want to sign up for this card, this is the best offer on this card. If I get my hands on the terms & conditions, I’ll also post them for you here.

  1. AJ,
Did you see the date on the flyer. I suspect these were old flyers lying in the in-flight magazine. I have received emails in last 2-3 days including invitation to apply for Jet Amex Platinum card, but the offer was the same 20K miles.

  2. 5000miles for 10K Rs sounds like expensive to me. I think ICICI offers the same for 5K(on renewal)… is it worth keeping for 2nd Year?

Jet Base fare waiver ticket seems a joke… for most of the sectors from Hyderabad says N/A for Feb March Apr’2014.

    • @Gaurav, the Jet base fare ticket can be 5-7K in value if used strategically. as for value, I also tend to use the card for lounge access at Amex lounges in Mumbai and Delhi so that makes sense as well to me.
