Join me at Airbus to take delivery of a plane!

Virtually of course! I am off to Toulouse tonight to visit Airbus, the legendary airframe maker, at their headquarters. A few days ago, Airbus, along with an Indian carrier and a customer of Airbus invited me to join them as they moved forward to induct a new variant of the Airbus planes in their fleet. Needless to say, it was hard to turn them down, so I made space in my calendar for this opportunity.

While this isn’t my first visit to an airframe factory, it is indeed the first time I get to witness a carrier get the keys to their plane. This trip also includes a visit to the shop floor, which from prior experiences I can tell is a lot of information and fun for the #avgeeks.

  16. It has to be vistara. You only like jet and vistara. Jet is predominanatly boeing fleet. And airbus is abuzz currently about neo engine.
