Air India offering 20% bonus on points conversion from SBI co-branded credit cards

While Air India has reworked the Flying Returns programme, it only has one co-brand credit card partner, SBI Card Credit Cards. The Flying Returns co-branded credit card works slightly differently than other co-brand cards because the points are accumulated with SBI Cards and not swept into your FR account every month. You must call SBI Cards to transfer your points into Air India Flying Returns.

Air India is offering a 20% bonus on points conversion

Air India Flying Returns has launched a new promotion to encourage people to transfer their points from SBI Cards into Air India Flying Returns. There could be many reasons for this. SBI Cards is due to pay Air India for the points only when the points are exchanged into FR currency, and with this unique arrangement at the end of SBI Cards, they may not be nudging people to transfer out their points.

  4. Yes I will! Just have to deal with the horrible SBI customer support to get them transferred. Wish they would make it online like every other bank has to transfer the points.

    • I have to update this, I requested for a transfer to SBI cards (with dread) on 16th May, and they said it will be transferred by 20th May which led me to laughing. However, sure enough, on 18th May, the points were in my Air India account – amazed – no follow ups, no reaching out and confusion between SBI and AI. Bonus points expected by 15th June.
