While Air India has reworked the Flying Returns programme into Maharaja Club, it currently has only one co-brand credit card partner, SBI Card Credit Cards. The rest of them are Vistara co-branded credit cards, holding out for the time being. The AI SBI Cards work slightly differently from other co-brand cards because points are accumulated with SBI Cards rather than swept into your MC account each month. You must call SBI Cards to transfer your points to the Air India Maharaja Club, or you can now do so in the app as well.
Air India is offering a 20% – 50% bonus on points conversion
Air India Maharaja Club has launched the second edition of a promotion (for 2025) to encourage people to transfer their SBI Cards points into the Air India Maharaja Club. There could be many reasons for this. SBI Cards is only due to pay Air India for the points when they are exchanged into FR currency, and with this unique arrangement at the end of SBI Cards, they may not be nudging people to transfer out their points.
Coming to the promotion, as you can note, when you convert your points from SBI Cards Air India co-brand cards between November 28 and December 10, 2025, you will get a tiered bonus, between 20% and 50% in terms of the number of points, with compliments from Air India Maharaja Club. The bonus points will be credited by February 10, 2026. The bonuses are tiered as per the following slabs:
Converted SBI Reward Points to Maharaja Points and earned the following Bonus Maharaja Points:
- If you convert 5,001 – 50,000 SBI Reward Points to Maharaja Points, you earn a 20% Bonus Conversion points
- If you convert 50,001 – 100,000 SBI Reward Points to Maharaja Points, you earn a 30% Bonus Conversion points
- If you convert over 1,00,001 SBI Reward Points to Maharaja Points, you earn a 50% Bonus Conversion points
The promotion is only valid for SBI reward points earned on Air India – SBI co-brand cards (Signature & Platinum Cards). The cardholder requires a minimum of 5,000 Reward Points to convert to Air India Maharaja Club points for an Air India SBI Signature Card or an Air India Platinum Card. Each Air India SBI Card point is usually convertible into 1 Air India Maharaja Club Point.
Also, remember that you must first register for the offer (click here) before making a purchase. Additionally, only your first conversion will earn you the bonus. For example, suppose a Maharaja Club member transfers 100,000 SBI Reward Points in the first transaction and 50,000 SBI Reward Points in the second transaction within the offer period. In that case, the member will only be eligible for the Bonus Maharaja Points on the First transaction of 100,000 Maharaja Points.
Bottomline
Air India co-branded credit cards with SBI Cards are offering a 20% to 50% bonus when you transfer credit card points to the Air India Maharaja Club through December 10, 2025. You must first register for the promotion before transferring your points.

NO Dear…Pranav.
Customer Service is WORST. CASE ID CASE ID and CASE ID but No Progress. Hopeless Customer Agents who just KEEP US ON HOLD
True!!! been facing these issues for long now. Hopeless service and continuous follow ups. Finally we loose interest and carry on.
Hello Ajay Ji,
Is this offer for targeted customers?
i dont find any information on air india website.
Kindly guide.
Thank You
Would it also work for Air India SBI signature cards? Thanks
I could transfer the points by doing so online (via app & website) and the credit happened the next day. Now let’s see when the bonus points are credited.
Bonus points are not awarded till date i.e. 18th June. Whom to contact now?
Thanks to Ajay, AI has credited the bonus points
Yes and the date of credit is the same as the date of credit of transferred points.
They have not deposited the bonus yet for me also
So is it possible to get their SBI Signature Card now to get the 20000 Bonus points and transfer them before 31st May if we act now
@Nitesh, I don’t think SBI works that quickly. But you can sure sign up and use the card the next time they do this promotion.
Yes I will! Just have to deal with the horrible SBI customer support to get them transferred. Wish they would make it online like every other bank has to transfer the points.
I have to update this, I requested for a transfer to SBI cards (with dread) on 16th May, and they said it will be transferred by 20th May which led me to laughing. However, sure enough, on 18th May, the points were in my Air India account – amazed – no follow ups, no reaching out and confusion between SBI and AI. Bonus points expected by 15th June.
Today is 15 June 24 and I transferred 80,000 Points to my Account. Today when I called Air India Customer Care they said they have no Knowledge of SUCH OFFER. Can someone share screenshot of Air India Website Offer.
