The Tata Group has been going all-in on their NEU super app proposition that was out of beta and publicly launched in 2022. As a part of the programme launch, Taj InnerCircle had also been subsumed into TATA Neu. Now, the platform has also made a tie-up with Air India.
Earning Tata NEU coins for booking air travel
Tata Neu has long offered the option to book AirAsia/Air India Express tickets via the app and get up to 5% Tata Neu coins. However, now they have tied up with Air India as well, but this tie-up works slightly differently, as you get the Tata Neu coins only for tickets booked using the HDFC Bank Tata Neu Credit Card. You can get yours for a zero joining fee by applying via this link, even if you have another HDFC Bank-issued credit card.
Air India states that once you start using your Tata Neu Credit Card, you will get the following amounts as cashback (in the form of Neu Coins):
- Get 5% back as NeuCoins with Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card
- Get 2% back as NeuCoins with Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank Credit Card
This is over and above the Flying Returns points you earn for flying the airline.
Additionally, you get complimentary access to 8 domestic & 4 International lounges annually with the Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card and to 4 domestic lounges annually with the Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank Credit Card, the lower-end card variant.
Not just that, you get 5% and 2% NeuCoins on purchases at Tata Neu and at popular Tata brands on the card variants, respectively, and another 5% and 2% NeuCoins on insurance, utility bill payments, and recharges at Tata Neu on the card variants, respectively and 1.5% and 1% NeuCoins on Domestic and international spends everywhere else on the card variants respectively.

Air India has today started rolling out up to 5% cashback via Tata NEU coins when you book your travel on Air India’s website or app with the TATA Neu Credit Card. You can get the card free by signing up via this link. An uncapped 5% on buying airfare directly is excellent news for those with the Infinity version of the card. This is over and above the Flying Returns points you earn for flying the airline.
