Air Canada adding more flights to India

Air Canada is betting big on International growth, and India seems to be a big part of their plans. Air Canada launched Toronto to Delhi in 2015 as a non-stop flight. They subsequently added a flight between Toronto and Mumbai earlier this year. And now they are launching a new set of flights, out of which another new flight is coming to India.

Air Canada will be adding flights between Vancouver and Delhi as of 14 October onwards after operating it seasonally in the winter 2016 schedule. The flight was announced for 3x a week before, however it is now going to operate 5 times a week. That makes a nice network for Air Canada from India.

All the flights will be operated by Air Canada’s new 787-9s and will be a seasonal flight for the time being. However, the airline intends to make it a year round service at the earliest. Timings are still to be confirmed.

I am really happy to see another north American airline investing into adding more services around this side of the world.

Have you been on Air Canada’s long-haul flights between India and Canada before? How has been your experience?

  1. Great news for DIAL and Punjabis on the Canadian West Coast. Such low yield routes can only be pulled off by Government subsidized airlines like Air Canada and Air India
