Accor Plus adds 20 complimentary elite nights for all members of the dining programme

Accor Plus, Accor’s loyalty subscription programme in Asia Pacific, has enhanced its membership programme with the addition of a new permanent member benefit.

Earn 20 Elite Nights when you sign up for Accor Plus.

Oldtimers at LiveFromALounge will remember Accor Plus, the dining/subscription programme Accor Hotels offers in Asia Pacific. Using Accor Plus, you can get dining benefits at about 1000 hotels in 20 countries around the Asia Pacific region. This programme is offered on a paid basis and is separate from the ALL programme, which is the loyalty programme of Accor.

Effective August 1, 2023, all new and renewing Accor Plus members will receive a permanent bonus of 20 Status Nights, accelerating their journey to the next status level or extending their current status. For this year, all existing Accor Plus members will also receive a one-time bonus of 20 Status Nights, regardless of their current status. Those that renew their membership from August 1 until December 2023 will obtain an additional bonus of 20 Status Nights, meaning a total of 40 Status Nights will be given, and at minimum, an automatic upgrade to Gold status will be granted. Till last year, Accor used to run promotions to add complimentary nights to user accounts against one stay and so on.

The CEO of Accor Plus, Renae Trimble, said on the occasion,

We are delighted to introduce these game-changing benefits to our valued Accor Plus members. The addition of bonus Status Nights not only solidifies our commitment to delivering exceptional value and recognition but also reinforces our position as a leader in the loyalty subscription space.

We believe these enhancements will elevate the membership experience and empower our members to unlock a world of unforgettable travel and lifestyle experiences. At Accor Plus, we are dedicated to continually evolving and innovating to meet the ever-changing needs of our members, and this exciting launch is a testament to that commitment.

The bonus Status Nights will be credited to Accor Plus members’ accounts within a month of joining or renewing their Accor Plus membership subscription date. Previously, Accor Plus used to grant complimentary Silver status in the ALL program. With this new benefit being introduced, the Silver status will be withdrawn. However, with 20 elite nights, you will clear to Silver status as soon as you sign up, and the nights are credited to your account. To get to Gold status every year, you would only need to stay ten nights to earn or renew your status.

Redeem ALL points for Accor Plus Membership.

In case you are keen on getting an Accor Plus Membership but want to avoid paying for it, Accor is running a special promotion these days where you can redeem ALL points on Accor Plus’ website to get the membership free of cost. This might be a good use case with points floating around like water (thank you, EDGE Rewards). The conversion of points to the Accor Plus membership is being offered till August 31, 2023.

Bottomline

Accor has upgraded the benefits of Accor Plus and moved from a silver status every year to a 20 elite night boost to the account instead (which grants you silver if starting from the base) and also grants you closer to status retention wherever you are in the Accor system. For this year, Accor will also give 20 elite nights to everyone who is already a member of Accor Plus. Additionally, for August 2023, you can redeem ALL points for Accor Plus membership as well.

What do you think of the changes to Accor Plus? Will you pursue Accor Plus with these benefits?

  1. Thanks Ajay as usual for the informative post. Similar to another comment, I have Accor Plus (and therefore Silver status from Axis Reserve). Is it possible to stack another membership on top to get another 20 night bonus? But even before that, is Gold status really beneficial with Accor? Thanks

    • @PS, I think it is a futile chase. Via this website, I’ve met people who want status without having any use for it. If it comes organically, it makes sense, but no point keeping status for a one off use.

  2. Do you have a source for this statement:

Those that renew their membership from August 1 until December 2023 will obtain an additional bonus of 20 Status Nights, meaning a total of 40 Status Nights will be given

I just renewed on the 27th, so would be good to know if I just missed this

Am not able to find this on the Accor site

  3. Thanks for sharing, Ajay. Looks like it is better to pick the basic traveller membership for 4k points and then use points for booking stays instead of using the stayplus night which comes with many restrictions. The additional 8k points for the explorer membership is worth a lot more.

    What are your thoughts?

  4. Hi Ajay

It seems the status nights are counted based on calendar year. So, if I get Accor Plus in August, then to get Gold status, I need to stay 10 nights within 5 months this year, OR stay 10 nights within 7 months next year. It seems to make more sense to get Accor Plus in January. Is my understanding correct?

    From their website :
At the time of your Accor Plus membership renewal, the Status tier will
be assessed based on the Eligible Status Nights or Status points earned
during one of the two periods:
    1. The current calendar year
    2. The previous calendar year
The highest number of eligible nights spent or Status points earned
during one of these two periods, will determine your new Status.

  5. Amazing, I am already an a cot plus member since 3 months thanks to Axis reserve. Can I get one more membership or renew existing one immediately. Any tips please?
