Air India was a bit late to the party started by SpiceJet last week on fares, so they decided to have their own fare sale this week. Under the sale, titled Diwali Dhamaka, Air India is offering all-inclusive fares starting INR 1,777 onwards. The sale is valid from November 3, 2015 to November 7, 2015, and you can buy these tickets across all of Air India’s own website and app, and on authorised travel agents.

Of course this sale came after I had already booked up some tickets on AI for next year. Luckily I don’t have a difference on fare on a net basis, but I do have a situation where I don’t get the 500 miles on these tickets due to booking indirectly!

To follow up on the Air India sale, Jet Airways launched another sale this month, where they are offering fares INR 1,483 onwards on the same terms & conditions as Air India. The sale fares are loaded on fare class W, which is one of the lowest fare classes.
