About a couple of months back I wrote about the rebranding of Mumbai’s Palladium Hotel to a St. Regis, which would be the first of the St. Regis branded hotels in India. At the time of this announcement being made, the original timeline mentioned about the conversion to St. Regis was Q4 2015.
However, it turns out that the hotel is ready much earlier to receive the new brand. Last week, there was a party held to celebrate the launch of the brand, and in my past couple of visits to the hotel over the past week, I’ve been noticing the new brand being ready to be rolled out.
Now the website for the Palladium Hotel already states that the launch of the new brand as of September 1, 2015.
The hotel is going to be a Category 4 Starwood Preferred Guest property, and guests will be able to earn and burn SPG points at this hotel effective September 1, 2015. A redemption should be costing 10,000 Starwood points.
There are multiple promotions being doled out for customers right now, including a debut offer which gives 15% off, a stay 3 get 4th night free promotion and more. You can check out all the promotions here.
I’m going to try and book up a stay shortly to see how the St. Regis standards are working out in India, and report back!
