Jet Airways flip flops and cuts back B77W service from Newark

So Jet Airways cannot seem to make up its mind yet if it wants to fly the B77W to the USA or not. I’ve been interested in this because it gives me one more new product to try out on my flight to the USA when with Jet Airways. I recently flew the A330 with them via BRU and I’ve flown the B77W to LHR.

Like I told you all earlier, Jet Airways had deployed the B77W birds to fly BOM-BRU-JFK and back on Friday and Sunday for the winter schedule of 2011. However, it seems now the plan has changed. I’ve been looking out for award space on the plane for a while for next year, and while I get to see the B77W often, the First Class cabin was always grayed out beyond BRU.

9W has now officially adjusted the schedule, and deployed the B77W for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday to Brussels out of Mumbai. So, if you are interested in experiencing the Jet Airways First Class, you could now fly to Brussels also to soak in the experience. This schedule change takes effect from 21st November 2011. So, all BOM-BRU-BOM flights over the weekend will be the B77W while weekdays will be A330s.

Also, for onward travel to the US, the only option continues to be the A330 all 7 days of the week. It seems to me that Jet Airways is kind of successful in getting more capacity to fly to Europe with it (the full planes explain it), but the first class flight to the USA may have to wait just yet.
