Emirates Skywards has launched a new long-term product enhancement that might make sense for co-brand cardmembers. in a new wave of enhancements, which is targeted only at co-brand cardmembers.
Emirates Skywards introduces new Cash + Miles rates for co-branded cardmembers
If you’ve been wondering how to squeeze a bit more value out of your Emirates Skywards miles — and especially if you happen to carry one of the airline’s co-branded credit cards — the airline has dropped a promotion worth paying attention to. It’s not a flash sale or an “earn bonus miles if you spend X.” Emirates is tweaking the Cash+Miles redemption rate for credit cardholders, making every mile stretch a bit further when you book a flight with cash + miles.
Thereby, Emirates is offering a preferential conversion “exchange rate” when you pay for flights using a mix of cash and miles through its Cash+Miles system. Under this promotion, certain co-branded credit cardholders see the amount of cash they need to pay alongside a given number of miles reduced, or, conversely, they can apply fewer miles to achieve the same reduction in fare cost.

What makes this different from a core award chart change is that it only applies when you’re logged in as an eligible cardholder. So what we’re really talking about here is a pricing incentive tied to holding a particular type of card. The following cards qualify:
- Emirates NBD Skywards Infinite Credit Card
- Emirates NBD Skywards Signature Credit Card
- Emirates Islamic Skywards Black Credit Card
- Emirates Islamic Skywards Infinite Card
- Emirates Islamic Skywards Signature Card
- HSBC Emirates Skywards Infinite Credit Card
- HSBC Emirates Skywards Signature Credit Card
- Emirates Skywards DIB Infinite Credit Card
- Emirates Skywards DIB Signature Credit Card
- Emirates Skywards DIB Platinum Credit Card
- ADIB Emirates Skywards Infinite Card
- ADIB Emirates Skywards Signature Card
- Emirates Skywards Premium World Elite Mastercard
- Emirates Skywards Rewards World Elite Mastercard
- Emirates Skywards ICICI Bank Emeralde Credit Card
- Emirates Skywards ICICI Bank Sapphiro Credit Card
- Emirates Skywards ICICI Bank Rubyx Credit Card
- ABK Emirates Visa Infinite Card
- ABK Emirates Visa Signature Card
- SAB Emirates Infinite Credit Card
Understanding Cash+Miles in Practice
If you’re new to Cash+Miles, this is Emirates’ flexible redemption option that lets you offset the price of a ticket with miles, rather than redeeming all-mile award seats. Normally, the conversion rate — that is, how many miles equate to a unit of currency discount — fluctuates depending on your route, travel dates, cabin class, and other variables. Emirates doesn’t publish a fixed award chart for Cash+Miles; what you see is what you get when booking online. I usually end up getting 57 AED for 2000 Emirates Skywards miles.
Under this promotion, eligible credit cardholders will see enhanced rates, meaning their miles go further. On Emirates’ own “Get more value for your Miles” offer page, the example highlight reads: 2,000 miles = AED 70 off a fare when logged in as the correct cardholder. That equates to a 23% uplift compared with typical base rates for miles converted to currency on a Cash+Miles itinerary.
It’s worth noting that this rate is available on eligible flights booked through emirates.com or the Emirates app, where you’ll see a little Cash+Miles icon on qualifying options. If it’s not showing up, make sure you’re signed in with the account linked to your eligible card — which is the trigger for this preferential pricing.
The caveat, as always: Cash+Miles still uses miles as a discount off a dynamic fare, not a fixed award ticket. You’re still subject to paid fare availability. If there’s zero economy inventory at the fare bucket Emirates uses for Cash+Miles, you won’t magically unlock it just because you have miles and an eligible card. The benefit here is being able to pay less cash and fewer miles for what’s otherwise available.
The one great thing about the promotion is that it has a full year ahead to use. The promotion is valid through March 31, 2027.
Bottomline
Emirates Skywards has launched a new promotion, exclusive to Emirates co-brand cardmembers, including the ICICI Bank co-brand cardmembers. Through March 31, 2027, cardmembers who purchase tickets using Cash + Miles will receive a fixed value of 2000 Skywards Miles = AED 70. If you are a cardmember and use Cash + Miles, this will be of interest to you.
