Cathay’s Asia Miles frequent flyer programme is currently offering a new transfer bonus for transfers initiated via credit cards, which might be helpful for those in the region. This is a reminder post to make sure you are all set up.
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles is offering a 25% transfer bonus.
Cathay’s Asia Miles is offering a transfer bonus to encourage members to transfer their miles into the programme. Asia Miles is offering a 25% bonus on miles for making at least one bank conversion to Cathay Asia Miles. Registration is required. It is only for members with an address in India.
The promotion runs from November 15, 2025, to December 31, 2025. This promotion has no cap on how many bonus miles you can earn. The bonus miles will be posted within 10 weeks of the end of the promotion.

Based on the terms and conditions, you can transfer from more than one credit card issuer. Asia Miles will provide a bonus on the final number of converted points lodged with Asia Miles between December 20, 2024, and January 31, 2025. For instance, if you convert 10,000 miles from American Express and 10,000 miles from SBI Cards, you will get a 25% bonus in your account for both conversions.
Just to remind you, Cathay Asia Miles is a transfer partner in India with American Express Membership Rewards, HDFC Bank, SBI Cards and Kotak Credit Card. Here are the transfer ratios:
- Amex MR transfers are 2 MR = 1 Asia Miles
- SBI Cards transfers 1 Travel Credit on the Miles Cards = 1 Asia Miles (Minimum transfer of 2000 points)
- 2 HDFC Bank Infinia/Diners Club Black Reward Points = 1 Asia Miles
- 3 HDFC Bank Regalia Gold Reward Points = 1 Asia Miles
- Kotak Credit Cards = Various
This bonus might be helpful for those looking to fly with British Airways. Typically, the surcharges are much less than BA charges via their redemption system. Even Cathay’s flights are a good deal when booked through its own programme.
Bottomline
Cathay Asia Miles is offering a 25% bonus when you convert credit card points into Cathay Asia Miles by December 31, 2025. However, you need to register for the promotion beforehand. This might be a good time if you want to transfer points from SBI Cards’ MILES programme, American Express, HDFC Bank Cards and Kotak Credit Cards. However, remember that the promised extra miles will only come in by March 2025.
Is anyone taking advantage of this Asia Miles transfer bonus from Credit Card partners?
