Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card offering a 10,000 points bonus on spends

The Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card is the only mid-end hospitality co-brand card in India. It affords excellent benefits, such as 10 Elite Nights and one free night worth 15,000 points, all for INR 3,000 annually. However, for the past few months, Marriott Bonvoy and HDFC Bank have been pushing for more usage on the card. So, last year, they ran a promotion offering 5X points, and now, there is a new milestone promotion.

The Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card has a new promotion launched on March 1 that will continue through August 2025. Here is how the latest promotion works:

  • 3,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy Points on achieving a spending milestone of INR 2 Lakh within the offer period (March 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025).
  • An additional 7,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy Points will be awarded upon achieving the spending milestone of INR 4 Lakh within the offer period (March 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025).

On an ongoing basis, here is what you earn on the Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card:

  • 8 Marriott Bonvoy Points per Rs. 150 spent at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy
  • 4 Marriott Bonvoy Points per Rs. 150 spent on travel, dining and entertainment
  • 2 Marriott Bonvoy Points per Rs. 150 spent on all other applicable purchases

The bonus Marriott Bonvoy Points awarded are in addition to the standard Marriott Bonvoy Points earned from March to August 2025. EMI & Wallet reload are excluded from eligible spends to receive the bonus Marriott Bonvoy Points. Marriott Bonvoy Points earned will be transferred to the Marriott Bonvoy Member Account within 60 days from the last date of the month the customer reaches the eligible spend milestone.

This is not an out-of-this-world promotion, but it is also not bad. I use my card at the Marriott Hotels, for instance, and this is a bonus that is brewing on the side if I hit the number.

Bottomline

The Marriott Bonvoy HDFC Bank Credit Card offers cardmembers an additional 10,000 bonus points with minimal effort. It is one of those things where you don’t have to register for it, and it accrues automatically. At a spend of INR 200,000 between March and August 2025, you will get an additional 3,000 bonus points, and at an additional spend of INR 200,000 between the same period, you will get an extra 7,000 bonus points.
