Over the weekend, Radisson Rewards encouraged members to be upgraded to their topmost status, VIP. There are various perks to be had, and hence, this might be a great time to sign on for the top-tier status.

Radisson Rewards Top Tier VIP Status available for a year

Radisson Rewards is the loyalty programme for Radisson-branded hotels outside the Americas, while in the US, Choice Privileges benefits apply. A few days ago, Radisson Rewards launched a new offer: instant VIP tier status for SAS Eurobonus programme members. While that promotion vanished within 24 hours, another version still exists, which offers existing Radisson Rewards members the chance to become VIP Tier members for a year. The Radisson Rewards programme offers the following benefits to its VIP Tier members, which usually takes 30 nights or 20 stays to achieve:

• 36 Radisson Rewards points per USD spent
• Complimentary room upgrade to the best available room
• Free breakfast for two guests at participating hotel restaurants
• Access to exclusive VIP areas in selected hotels

I applied this promotion to my account, and the account tier was updated to VIP immediately. Status is valid for a year.

Radisson Rewards does not have a great redemption programme anymore. However, this programme is for that elusive use case when you must stay at a Radisson Hotel. There are plenty of those in Europe and even in India, where even other chain hotels might not be present in some cases.
