The Accor Plus programme ties in with the Accor Live Limitless (ALL) programme, the loyalty programme for all Accor hotels across the globe. With the Explorer Tier, you get one-night complimentary hotel stays in participating Accor hotels across the Asia-Pacific (not just in India but also in Singapore, Thailand, Australia, etc.). This benefit alone has the potential to recoup the cost of membership. You can redeem the complimentary stay at one of the higher-end hotels, such as the Sofitel Mumbai BKC, where rooms usually run INR 10,000 plus a night.

Up to 50% Savings on Dining

This is the most significant day-to-day use case of the Accor Plus membership. The dining discount offers a discount at over 1,400 restaurants in over 20 countries, and you can get a meal at half the price if you are dining in a pair. The concept is essential for one diner to dine free. Not just that, various vouchers come along, which can be used on a limited basis. These include:

  • 40% Off Group Dining Certificate (up to 10 members)
  • INR 500 Discount on Food & Beverages
  • Complimentary Buffet Lunch for two people
  • Free Dessert Certificate
  • Complimentary Birthday Cake

Discounts of up to 50% on Room Bookings

Red Hot Rooms provides a platform for Accor Plus members to enjoy up to 50% discounts on the Best Available Rates. The discount offers are refreshed every two weeks on a Friday, and the roster of hotels changes. Whether you are looking at some potential last-minute hotel stays or planning for trips several months in advance, the validity period of the Red Hot Rooms seems to be quite long.

10% off the best available public room rate

If the hotel you are eyeing isn’t in the week’s Red Hot Rooms, you can still obtain some form of a discount on hotel room bookings with 10% off the best available rate when booked on the Accor Hotels website. It is worth noting that this discount is available all year round, which adds up quite a lot, especially if you foresee yourself making multiple bookings / staying several nights in a year.

Automatic Silver Tier in Accor Live Limitless (ALL)

If you are already a member of Accor’s loyalty programme, Accor Live Limitless (ALL), the Accor Plus membership allows you to enjoy greater benefits by giving you instant Silver status. Silver members earn 20% more points with every EUR 10 spent at Accor hotels (31 pts versus 25 pts for Classic members) and receive extra perks such as a welcome drink and late check-out.

Accor Plus is now offered at a special redemption price of just 7,500 Accor ALL Points.

The Accor Plus Explorer Membership is being extended for a special discounted price of 7,500 ALL Points instead of the usual 12,500 points, which is usually the price you pay when redeeming points. While this price was supposed to be only for HDFC Bank Credit Card customers, everyone can redeem it at this price as long as they go via this link. Applicable only for new signups, not renewals. This is a 37.5 discount on the points price for the membership.

The usual going price for the membership is INR 16,520, so with this redemption, you should be able to get one room night valid at Accor hotels across Asia Pacific Hotels, in addition to all the other perks listed above. So, if you are an Accor loyalist, this one might be for you.

Bottomline

Accor Plus is running a promotion where you can redeem an Accor Plus Explorer membership (including one free night) for just 7,500 ALL points. If you are interested, you should redeem quickly using this specific link.

  1. It’s unclear how this works.

Do you have to be a ALL member, but not an Explorer member, and use existing points?

If it’s a new membership, where will the points come from? Do you need to convert from HDFC to ALL?

What are the mechanics of this? The link you’ve provided has no details, and no number to call…

    • @ SJ: to the best of my understanding one needs to sign up for an ALL membership first, or be an existing ALL member. Second step would be to transfer points from HDFC to Accor (ideally on 27th & 28th July, to avail the transfer bonus). Transfer takes typically upto 24 hours. Once that’s done one can go ahead with purchasing Accor plus explorer membership using Accor points.

@ Ajay: Do correct if there are any inaccuracies.

      • Thank you, Amit. I finally managed to make it happen with the HDFC transfer bonus.

I find the Smartbuy booking engine and the concierge to be a shadow of what it used to be. You’re lucky if a booking or redemption goes through at the first instance.

And it takes 10 minutes of waiting for the concierge team to answer the call and at least 30 minutes to get a booking done…
